Scheduling a U.S.A. Visa Appointment in China– The Visa Information Call Center

All nonimmigrant visa appointments for applicants in mainland China are scheduled either online or by a call center. The call center can also provide nonimmigrant visa-related information and answer questions related to the application process.

Please note that in some cases, it may take one month or more to schedule an appointment due to a heavy rush. Therefore, it is best to plan in advance.

  1. Eligibility Criteria
Some applicants must use the drop box if qualified. Other applicants may optionally use the drop box if qualified. All others must schedule an appointment. Determine whether you must use the drop box, or if you may optionally use the drop box. Please make sure that you need to schedule an appointment before proceeding further.

Also, determine whether or not you need to make a group appointment.

    • Passport
    • Visa application fee receipt number
    • DS-160 confirmation page
    • Your email address
    • Additional documents that vary based on your visa class

Before making an appointment, make sure you have the following information for the applicant handy: full name, passport number, ID number, receipt number from the visa application fee receipt, contact information, the purpose of travel, place of residence, and whether the visa was previously refused.

  3. Schedule Appointment
  4. Change Appointment
You can’t change your appointment any number of times, as there are limitations. Therefore, schedule your appointment when you are fairly certain that you can attend it.
