Non-diplomatic and non-official visa applicants must pay the visa application fee. Additionally, some categories of visa applicants must pay issuance pay as well. Visa issuance fees are based on reciprocity, based on what China charges a U.S. citizen for a similar type of visa.

In addition to the application fee listed above, certain applicants must pay the visa issuance fee. For the Chinese citizens, the following fees apply:

Paying Application Fee
Visa application fee must be paid before calling to make an appointment.
  • Application fee can be paid at designated branches of China CITIC Bank.

  • You must include both copies of CITIC Bank fee receipt with all visa applications.

  • The visa fee receipt is valid for a period of one year for one visa interview appointment.

  • The visa fee receipts are not transferable or refundable.
