Total process took about 6 weeks. The instructions from CKGS re proof of renunciation are misleading - the checklist indicates that only the cancelled passport page is sufficient as proof of renunciation. However, if you have previously applied for and received a stamped certificate of renunciation, that needs to be submitted. Also, it is better to upload any missing documents even if CKGS advises you to e-mail them. Bottom line, i could have saved about ten days but thankfully my trip is not until late June.
