L1 B approved at Chennai Consulate on 12th January 2013
Hello All,

Firstly I would like to extend sincere thanks to all the contributers to this Forum. Everyone's experiences have been immensely helpful. i work for one of the Indian based IT Giants in Bangalore. I applied for my L1 B visa and my OFC and interview was fixed on 11thy and 12th of january this year. OFC procedure is very simple and I would straightaway go to the interview day.

The questions from the VO(Lady) were as following :

I wished the VO Goodmorning

VO: Hello Goodmorning Mam. How are yoy today?
Me: Am good. Thank you. How are you

VO: Am doing good . Thanks. Give me a minute please
Me: Sure
VO:So which company do you work for Mam
Me: YYYY XX
VO:And what is your specialization?
Me: I answered as per my DS 160 and BEP letter details
VO:How long have you been working in this?
Me: Around 5.5 years
VO:How many people in your organisation possess this skill?
Me: Am not exactly sure, but I guess none bcoz i was the only one to work from my company on this
VO:So you said you have 5 years experience?
Me: I have 5.5 years of experience in this specialized field, but my overall experience is around 6.6. years
VO: How long with your current company ?
Me :16 months in the same company and same project
VO:Previously which organisations have you worked for ?
Me: named both my previous organisations. My last organisation is a very prestigious US based product development organisation.
VO: I am almost done Mam. Give me a while
Me: Yes please (i was worried what is she going to do ? What 's her decision ?)

Finally......

VO: Slid my two I129s documents across the window and said "Mam please carry these 2 documnets along with you when you enter the US. I approve your Visa".

So thats it....truely golden words.....I could hardly believe that it was over and all my preparations payed off. It took heardly 2 minutes for the same.

My suggestions to all L1 B applicants:

1) Make sure your skill is really a specialized one. Mere development or testing profiles arent considered specialiazation however much you try to make them look the same

2) Prepare well. You just have 2-3 minutes to run your chance so do not take things for granted. Practice all ypur answers in front of a mirror if needed. Write down your answers and frame them in points

3)Your answers should not be flowery. Crisp and to the point answers are needed. Highlight certain specific terms related to your specialization which the VO should catch in the first place. They dont have time to listen to any history

4) Many lay stress on your dressing attire but that isnt any game changer. Confidence is the key to success. Be sure you dont fumble and blabber. keep yourself calm despite of seeing Rejections in the other counters.

5) Finally, make sure you dont fake. VOs are highly skilled in taking interviews and any cross questioning which you dont have an answer to, would lead you to trouble. Hence forth be honest and confident

Hope this helps!! All the best guys !!
