EB1C delay
Hello. I guess I am one of million I-485 pending cases, even though the I-140 has been approved. Sometimes I think there is error in my filling. Does anyone know how long is taking to have the I-485 approved after the I-140 is approved and concurrent filled?
Aug/2021: I-140, I-485, I-131, I-765 filled.
Feb/2022: Biometrics.
June/2022: I-131 and I-765 approved.
Sep/2022: I-140 approved.
I-485 case updated with biometric appointment, then the same status since Feb/2022.
Thanks.

I-485 pending at Texas Service Center
Employment based, EB2

05/21- i140/i485/i765/i131 filed

I-140 premium process not done initially

09/21- Biometrics done

I-140 still not approved until April 2022, then premium processing done and I-140 approved on May 2022.

I-765 approved June 2022, just got EAD not a combo card

I-131 updated to show fingerprint is applied to the case on Aug 19, 22, Travel document still not received as of Dec 2022.

I-485- After filing on May 2021, and fingerprints applied to the case on Sept 2021, there is no update at all after this.

Anyone experiencing a similar situation? Texas Service Center shows Employment Based I-485 processing time to be 50+ months. I need some suggestions if anyone is going through the similar process as I am. Please share your experience. Thank you.

Question on I-485 "Have you EVER been denied a visa to the United States?"
Hi Folks

I have a quick question. I was initially rejected on a L1B Blanket visa interview and later got the visa by submitting a individual petition. Should I answer this question "Have you EVER been denied a visa to the United States?" as "Yes" in I-485 ?

Thanks

EB1-C process timelinein 2022
Hi Everyone,
I am on a L1-A and decided to move to the Green Card (Thru Texas Center).
I have done medical visit and we sent the file on 30 August 22, I-140 and 1-485 simultaneously
Received a letter for Biometrics that will happen 1st week of October
The issue is that my L1-A "expiration date" is in december, although I can stay in the US (PD is April 2024)
Not sure if I should "renew" my expiration date, complicated as I have to do it in my country of origin, or should I wait for the green card?
Based on your experience, when could I reasonable expect to have the GC in hands? before next summer?

EB1C - Multinational Manager - My Immigration Journey
Since this blog has given me so much, it's time to return the favor.

Arrived in the US on March 5th, 2020 under the L1A visa (Individual) class.

Form I-140 :

02/06/2021 - Filed with USCIS, priority date was not current at that time (Texas Service Center)
04/27/2022 - Request for RFE (mostly around role definition with foreign and current employer)
06/11/2022 - Request to RFE received by USCIS (I was well prepared with the responses and didn't wait for the full 90 days to respond)
06/21/2022 - I-140 approved (Yes, it's a myth that one should not respond to an RFE before the stipulated 80-85 days period).

Although I was eligible to file under premium processing, I chose not to as per my attorney's suggestion. Once you rush the agency to act quickly on your case, the chances of denial increase.

Form I-485

04/05/2021: Filed form I-485/I-131/I-765/I-693 and received the receipt notices about 2 months after. The case went straight to NBC which was unusual
06/25/2021: Fingerprinting done
10/31/2021: Received Combo Card
11/30/2021: Case was transferred to Texas Service Centre were my I-140 was pending
07/15/2022: The case was transferred back to the same NBC where it was received for the first time
08/17/2022: The case was approved!

All in all, it took approximately 550 days for the agency to approve my GC. There were moments of uncertainty when you hear your colleagues and friends received their GC even though they filed after you, but every case is different. I know it's easier for me to say now, but you need to trust the system. Don't listen to gossip, keep your eyes and ears open but avoid panicking on every single news you hear about US immigration.

Once again thank you immihelp for creating this forum for people like us living in a world of constant uncertainty. One can definitely learn a lot from other people experience so please keep sharing. I will be happy to answer any questions you might have on my case to the best of my knowledge.

Cheers!
