I recently got dinged for $115USD by canadapassporthelp.ca. I filled out their form and when I entered my credit card info there was no confirmation or nothing. It billed my card immediately before the provided any service. And as soon as you request any help, that payment becomes non-refundable. I can't call it an all out scam, but it is definitely a ripoff given that they try to make it sound like you're talking to Passport Canada. It's my bad for not being more diligent and getting roped in, but wanted to warn other folks out there. If you're applying for a visa, passport or anything else, you can get all the information you need from the Canadian website. I was pretty upset, but when I tried contacting them for a possible refund (even partial since they provided almost 0 help), it got no answer. I guess once they have your money it's game over. Good luck and really hope fewer people fall in this trap. I'm an IT guy and I'm pretty flustered that I got scammed like this. I thought I was pretty cautious in general. Pay attention folks, it's so easy to have your hard-earned money taken from you.

Does anyone know what is the current turn around time for premium processing (California service center) for H1B (I797) extensions?

The worst experience so far with VFS.

Nine days ago, I received a text from VFS saying they got the fedex courier of my application. When I check for the status providing my ARN number and DOB, it gives out a message saying "invalid inputs". I tried calling and realized that they charge money after 5 minutes of the call. So, I thought I will keep all details ready of me and will finish the call within the first five minutes. But, the automated system asks for credit card number even before offering the free five minutes. I was uncomfortable to provide the credit card number to random automated message.

I emailed them now and they respond every 48hours ONLY. In my email, I provided, ARN number, contact phone number, email id (they asked for this in response to my email - even though they have this as I was emailing them). They have been asking me to provide the courier tracking number!! I am shocked about this request. Nine days ago, I got a confirmation that from them that they received it and I shredded the tracking receipt. I visited fedex and they digged the tracking number.
I provided again my ARN number, email-id, phone number, FedEx tracking number.

I am feeling very stressed to deal with companies like VFS that harass people. I wanted to have OCI in my hand as my mother is unwell and I might have to go any minute. With all the things going on, I feel VFS is harassing me asking me for random details like after confirming they received my package nine days ago.

Imagine, this is just the beginning of my journey to get my NEW OCI (after age 50yrs if I get a new US visa, I need to get a new OCI). Wonder, how the remaining process will be.
Posting this under VISA (premium processing as there is no appropriate choice in the list of values and OCI is kind of VISA).

I am with a F1 student visa graduating in this December (PhD). I will join as a Faculty position at US university from January 2020. My Employer/University already applied cap exempt H1B (Premium Processing) on December 3rd, 2020 (Yesterday). My wife is a green card holder and my i485+i765 were applied 1 month ago.

I am worried about H1B application as my i485 is in processing. Is there any chance that my H1B will get rejected? because another immigration petition(i485+i765) is on processing.
DO ANYBODY HAS EXPERIENCE?

My employer has filed my H1B extension at Nebraska center in Premium processing. It has been 18 calendar days until today but we did not even receive the receipt number or the approval notice. Has anyone faced similar issue? What are the options to pursue to get a response from USCIS on this?

i have my H1-B approved with premium processing at NSC on Sept 10th 2019
the lawyers haven't received the I-797 approval notice in mail yet
it has been 20 calendar days and no mail yet
anyone else experiencing the same issue

I have filed for my H1B at Vermont service center in Premium Processing on June 18th. Does anyone know if there is a delay of more than 15 days ?

i-140 receipt number: MSC1891655ZZZ

Hi guys,
I have applied i-140,i-485,i-485j,i-765 and i-131 on Aug/17/2018.
I-140 was regular process (no premium process)
The receipt from USCIS i received was from National Benefits Center, for all my forms. If i'm not wrong the i-140 process in Texas or nebraska and receipt should be start from (LIN or SRC).

After a long wait we've applied Premium process on Jan/02/2019. But after one weeks our attorney got the package back with the USCIS letter state " your case has been transfer and it's not in our jurisdiction"
ofcourse the case is in National benefit center. We send the premium process to Texas office because we live in Texas and Texas service center process the premium process too (as per attorney instruction)

After this letter our attorney sent a package to National benefit center (premium process file). And same thing happen, attorney got the package and check back with the uscis letter stated that we do not process the premium process here in this jurisdiction please send your petition to office where the jurisdiction is.

Now i'm confuse that what do i do.

I have talk to Uscis several times but in there system it's showing error to request to transfer the file from National to Texas so Texas can process the i-140.

Is there anyone can help or give me any advise that what we can do .

My H1B visa was filed on 2015 and I have a valid approved petition till 2018.
But I didnt start working with my employer on H1B visa as I went to India and came back to US with H4 visa. I was on H4 visa till Aug 2016 in US because of personal reasons. Now I have got a project in Sept 2016 and my employer has filed change of status from H4 to H1 on premium processing.
How long will it take to get the approval for this COS. Currently with the tracking number from USCIS it shows document received and under processing. The COS was sent on 09/14/2016. When can I expect the status to show as approved from USCIS?
