L1b-Blanket Blue form
I got a Blue form,

Myself : GoodMorning
VO: no Reply
Myself : Submitted my Papers,he verified in the system , and asked me how many years you are with this Company
Myself: X Years and XX months
VO : what for you are going to US
Myself : I briefed about my specialization and Project
VO : its a pretty sick IT job everyone can do it
and asked me a Question, what else you do other than your company do
Myself : Explained about the tools used in the project
VO : gave a blue form and asked me to meet my Company HR

Only one suggestion to all the L1B Blanket Petition holders going for Visa interview, be prepared with only Question. what is your specialization and why you are going to US.why you. Prove them that you are the only individual in your company to do it.

Me: Do you want me to give my DS-160 as well?
VO: Not required.
VO: Since how long you have been working with YYY
Me: 4 yr 8 Months
VO: Since joining are you a permanent Employee of YYY?
Me: YES
VO: Who is your Client?
Me: JJJ
VO: Since how long you have been working with JJJ?
Me: Around 2 Yrs
VO: What is your project all about?
Me: Explained about project in 3 sentences with in 20 seconds.
VO: Why were you given this oppurtunity rather than recruiting some one US?
Me: We have successfully completed PILOT project for one of Division of JJJ and the same has to be implemented for another division of JJJ.
VO: Is it PART 2?
Me: YES (Smiling)

VO statred typing some thing in his machine and he was pulling out all the I-129S from the sets, stamped and gave me back saying "YOUR VISA HAS BEEN APPROVED. WILL BE COURIERED TO YOU IN WEEK DAYS".
I thanked him and walked out with out even turning back.

The whole interview process was for 1 minute.

Guys, Be confident while presenting your self. Don't panic hearing other people's rejections. Always maintain good body language. Keep a smile in your face. Dress well. If you are not comfortable wearing tie or blazer, forget it.

I have clearly seen VO observing people who are standing in Queue.

All the very best.

Do we need to have any particular amount of experience to get L1 VISA? I have 36 months of experience with my current company (which is also my first company). IS this amount enough for getting L1?

L1B Rejected
Thanks to this forum. I was not able to get through, but still this forum was quiet useful.

The questions were,
What is your experience in current organization?
Why are you going to the US?
What is your specialization?
What is the use of xxx tool?
Where will you stay in the US?
What is your salary?

Finally she replied that "as you have only xx months of experience, I am not clearly able to approve your visa. i suggest your company to file for individual petition" and handed over the blue slip.
I have seen people commenting that VO's mood and character are a factor for clearing the process. But from my experience, I feel that it is the way we present our factual answers that helps us to clear the process.

My interview was scheduled for 9:15 AM but I reached by 8 and was promptly admitted to the waiting area. Spent around 30 minutes in the outer waiting area followed by another 1.5 hours in the interview waiting area post submission of documents. Here are a few observations:

1. Mark a couple of people having coupon numbers immediately before you. This will help you time the grand finale to the T...read point 5 below

2. Its great to have a wailing kid...helps you jump the queue unbelievably fast

3. Its good to stick to the document order as specified by the GIT...saves a lot of trouble while submitting

4. The average interview lasts for 2.5 minutes, although mine was over in 1.

5. Once your name is announced (with difficulty) for fingerprinting the clock starts ticking and you have roughly 4 minutes left before your turn comes for the interview. Look out for the guys before you and you can almost count the minutes to the end.

6. Lastly, prepare yourself mentally to spend an agonizing hour on a smallish straight-backed uncomfortable chair rubbing shoulders with your neighbours in a room full of people with a solitary TV on mute and a temperamental aircon waiting for salvation!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

VO: Where have you travelled before?

ME: YYYY

VO: Why have you been selected for this project?

ME: I have designed a new application framework for custom reporting which will be used to build an analytics application for our client YYYY Also, I have previous experience working for YYYY with my client employer on the same systems on which we are going to work in this current project.

VO: How did you design the framework?

ME: I have YYYY years of experience in YYYY domain and mostly in client reporting applications which helped me gain good knowledge about the business, processes, technologies used and best practices in my field of specialization. The framework is the culmination of my experience so far.

VO: What is the platform for this project?

ME: YYYY X

VO: Your visa has been approved.

ME: Thank you sir.
