L1B Visa approved - Passport rejected
Hi All,

I had visa interview at chennai on april 5th at 8:45PM. I reached thr around 7:30. Its good to go early as they will not let you wait for any stupid reason.
process:
1. In front of embassy there was queue. here you have to deposite your hdfc bank receipt.
2. Security check - nothing allowed other then documents
3. document varification at next counter
4. finger prints
5. Fraud fee deposite (next building)
6. wait for interview turn

questions he asked
1. What will you do in US? - opportunity to tell what technology, process and products you are going to use.
2. What technology you will be going to use there ?
3. XYZ product on which you worked/used who built it? - if product is built by third party then be prepared for the question -why you why not some one else from that party. try to avoid these situation.
4. How many years you have been working on this project?- if your degree and work profile do not match then you should prepare for this question. 3+ yrs of work ex will help. even if you have 2 yrs 8 months just say around 3 yrs.
5. Asked same questions again (How many years?) - tricky one - again your work experience will play role..
To my wife
1. when you get married?
2. At what place

Visa got approved but officer asked me to renew the passport and send that to them via VFS.

L1B Rejection @ Purnima Kapoor
Hi Punima,

I went to Delhi Embassy and I have also the same case. Without providing any reason VO marked my docs as "Not Clearly Approval" also they suggested me to go for L1 Individual or H1.
Please check if VO had stamped you Passport with "Rejected" stamp, if yes then only you can say ur VISA got rejected otherwise not.
We cannot do any thing apart from going through L1 Individual or H1.

L1B visa individual
Hi All,

I attended L1b individual visa appointment at Chennai. Do take care of these things.
1. Do not lean on the slab.
2. Wait for your turn.
3. Wish them courteously. Very good afternoon/good morning.
4. Do not chit chat when in line. VO will be looking for all that too, your behavior.
5. Keep a transparent file which they will allow you to take it inside the consulate and go through all the documents beforehand so that you can easily provide when asked.
4. VO asked me a. wat is your experience in the current organization. b. Wat do you do in your current role. c. Wat duties you will perform in US.
Most importantly you should mention that you will return to your home country once your work is done since L1b is an non immigrant temporary visa. Take care not to over answer yourself. Be specific to wat questions been asked.
Go through Immihelp.com, it is very useful forum.
All the best guys.
