Visa Type: Blanket L1B and L2 (For Spouce)
Visa Interview Location: Hyderabad India.
Below are the questions:

Q1. Are you from ABC Company?
A1. Yes, I am from ABC India pvt Ltd.

Q2.You got married?
A2. Yes.

Q3. Why her(My Wife's) surname is different from yours?
A3. The passport got issued before marriage, so her passport is still holding the surname earlier to marriage, we have Marriage certificate and i was about to pull it from bag(but VO told not required)

Q4. How long you got married?
A4. 2 years

Q5. Who is your client?
A5. PQRS

Q6. What is your company doing for PQRS?
A6. Software Development

Q7. How many people in your Project?
A7. 15

Q8. You were once already issued with VISA. why didnt u travel at that time? (I had L1B 4 years back adn did not travel but it got expired)
A8. There was an onsite position so , My Organization initiated my visa, but after that Project situation made me to work from offshore.

Q9. Why they are sending only you?
A9. I have been working with ABC since 6 years I have better knowledge of ABC methodologies and Process with which i need to implement my current job.

Thats It...... He wrote something on the forms and told... your VISA GOT APPROVED and you will receive the passports within 5 days..

Conclusion: Its very easy.. dont get tesned.. be prepared for the general questions which you get from this WONDERFUL website ....

I am very much thankful to Immihelp site. It really helped me a lot to prepare for my L1-B Visa.

1. What are you going to do in US?
2. What is your experience with this client?4
3. what is your experience in ???(current) company?
4. Are you going to work in the client place?
   Ans :- Yes, But I am managed by my ???(current) companies manager which he is at onsite.

5. what are your specialised knowledge?

To me, it was a first time..

Questions for me:
1.Why do you want go to US?
2.Who is your client?
3.How long you with this client?
4.What is your total experience in the same role?
5.How many people will you be supervising?

Lesson's learnt..
- Listen question carefully and try to answer "only to the question" VO had asked
-Be confident in your answers and say only the truth
-Have a good posture (in look. stand and dress)

Interview date 10 Feb 2011

I have attended the interview on 24th hyderabad consulate. They gave me white form with admin processing required. but till today I have not received any information. Can any one has similar situation or some one can let me know how long it will take to process the visa

My interview was on 14th Feb (Valentine's Day :) )

Both of us said " Good Morning Sir"
VO: Good Morning...how are you doing?

Questions asked to me:
1. Why are you going to US?
A: Gave relevant answer about merger of two companies and need to integrate data using company proprietory tools etc...
2. Since how long are you working with ZZZ?
3. Was your US visa ever rejected? (My US Student Visa was rejected twice in 2003)
A: Tell them the truth..they have all the details already.
4. How many times?
5. Which US university had you selected?
6. Why did you choose US for further studies?
A: I wanted to have some good quality education
7. Did you travel to any other country earlier?
A: Yes...(told them the country name)
8. What was the project?
A: Told in brief
9. Was those just business meetings?
A: Yes
10. Who was the client then?
11. Who is your client now?
12. Since how long are you working with this client?
13. Which place are you going?
14. What is your current Indian salary?
15. What would be your salary in US?
16. Are you going for Managerial Role?
(Always say NO if you are applying for L1B...For managerial role the visa type is L1A and they will reject the visa)

To wife:

1: What is your full name?
2: What is full name of your husband?
3: What is your date of birth?
4: Do you have any kids?

Both of us said "Thanks you"

That's it...he told us your visa has been approved and you will receive it in 2-3 days by courier.

I cleared my L1B yesterday.

Key thing is to prepare well on your special knoweldge question.

Thanks for everyone sharing the L1B visa interview questions and answers.Immihelp really helps the US visa aspirants to a great extent.I was going through the forums for last 1 month and finally succeded today.

Here are some questions asked by VO...

1.which client and location?
2.what is your specialization skills ?why the other experts cann't perform at onsite or for client ?
3.Every expert developing the various tools ?what other specialization do u have ?
4.how long with the client ?
5.how many members in the offshore project team ?why they have not been choosen ahead of you ?
6.Educational(BE/Btech) information asked ?
7.How long in the company ?

after these questions,the VO said that your visa has been approved.It took me around 10 mins to answer all the questions.

Tips and Tricks

2.Prepare well for the intrview
3.never loose eye contact,the VO always checks your communication
5.be polite and cool,talk smoothly
6.more than 5+ yrs exp. people with any prior country visit have the edge.prior US visa's holder surely not a concern so much.

So relax and chill...do a 1 day preparation..then your visa will be stamped...

Hi Guys..thanks all for adding your experiences..
I have been reader of this forum since 1 & half month..i had been prepared for all the question asked under L1B..also the behaviorial science durring interview such as Confidence,Calm & Crisp so on...despite of all preparation my application being kept pending under 221(g).VO asked me to apply for Different visa category L1b individual/H1B.

The question were simple & i replied all questions confidenltly...
1.What work you will do in US?
=> i will be designing & developing reporting solution for privat equity division of XX using my specialized skill. which includes AAA which is ZZ(My Company) properietary reporting tool along with ZZ properietary business intiligence & reporting methodolgy.
(he typed something in computer for 1 minute)
2. experience with current company?
=> mn month
3. for how much time you trained for your company reporting tool?
=> ss month's
4. when did you get married?
=> x year back on xx-xx-xx

That's It..then he given my white form of 221(g) stating that your visa is not refused, the application has been kept pending under section 221(g) hence we want your company to apply in different category visa H1B/L1B Individual on your behalf.

I just learned today...The final touch to success is always given by LUCK.

It was not my day :(

please let me know when can my company apply for H1B/L1B?
