I attended my visa interview on March 7th.
Back Ground -
B1 visa approved and travelled to US 6 times.
L1B rejected 2 times. (2009 and 2011)
L1A petetion not approved in USCIS. (2010)
H1B - RFE and it got resolved.
Went to Interview along with my wife and kid.
Questions asked -
Have you worked in US before - (I said NO and told that I went previously for design discussions).
What is your highest degree?
Who is your client?
What is your salary in US?
He gave me white phamphlet.
Questions to my wife as my son is 11 months old.
How long have you been married?
What is the age of your kid?
Where did he born?
Which Hospital?
He gave another template to her to go through before travel.
VO told that our visa got approved.
In the same day when we tracked the DS160, it was "Issued" for me and my wife. My kid's application was in "Adminstrative Processing". Next day it changed to "Issued"
Confidence and Patience matters. Prepare well for the frequently asked questions.

Hi All,
Firstly, thanks to this forum for my interview confidence.
Had the interview today: VO asked below questions:
1. Which company?
2. What are you going to do for this company there? (I told 2 sentences mentioning my role, location and client)
3. Highest Qualification?
Then he told that he is approving my visa and showed me the white pamphlet and asked me to read before travel.
After this there was a little twist: He cancelled my existing B1/B2 visa.
Thanks again.
Just have the confidence and get the basics right.

First of all I would like to thanks this site and all the people who shared their experiences. Reading all those experience gave me the required confidence after all that me and my family went through during our previous experiences.
I would like to share my full history so that many other people who wre going through not so good experience can get encouragement.
It all started well. I applied for my first B1 visa in April 2011. My B1 visa was approved and I made a trip to California for a period of 85 days from May 2011 to August 2011.
I had a great time in USA and my work was much appreciated. So once I was back on my client request my Company processed my L1B blanket petition. The Petition was approved and we attended our L1B interview on January 2012. The L1 visa was rejected.
I was suppose to travel to US on my B1 Visa in April 2012. I thought this time I will take my family with me. So with my own expense I applied B2 visa for my kid and my wife. They attended B2 visa interview in March 2012. During their B2 interview not only their B2 got rejected but also my 10 year B1 visa was also cancelled.
I must thank my company that they decided to file H1B petition for me. My H1B was filed on 11th of June, the last day after which H1B cap for the year got exhausted. USCIS requested an RFE in October 2012 and again on the last day of RFE expiry my company filed the RFE with required documents. My petition got approved in Mid of January 2013.
Now come to my H1B visa experience. As all this happened I was pretty nervous. My OFC was done yesterday 13th March. Today I attended my interview. The time scheduled was 10 AM. I reached there just before 9 AM. Waited till 10:10 outside and around 10:15 we entered the office. After regulatary checks and formalities I was waiting for my turn for interview.
I was sitting infront of counter 19 where I saw 3 out of 3 L1 got rejected. I was called at counter 16. Visa officer just asked one question. Here is how it went.
We: Good Morning
VO Good morning.
I: How are you doing today
VO very good. You are from XXX company? Looking at my Company ID card.
I: Yes
VO: May I have your passport.
I gave him our passport.
VO: Who is your client:
I : XXX.
VO: Are you going to XXX place? He seemed to be aware of my client.
I : said no YYY place.
VO: That is a very nice place.
I: Yes you are right.
Then VO took a long pause. He was looking into his computer. It was almost 2 min he was seeing his screen. I just kept looking at him. Not here and there. Then came the Golden word.
VO: your visa is approved. He gave a sheet where the ruleas adn regi=ulations were written.
We thanked him and came out.
Conclusion: If you are applying for H1B, I think you have good chance to get the visa approved. I am not sure about L1 visa though.

My OFC was on 6th March at 9:00 AM and my PA was on 7th March at 7:30 AM.
Though I planned to reach the Consulate office 30 mins before my appointment, because of some problem I reached 10 mins before my app. time at 7:20 AM. After the initial verification and fingerprint scan which took nearly 30 mins, I moved to the hall where I waited for 15 to 20 mins for my PA interview.
The VO asked just 2 questions.
1. Who is sponsoring your Visa ?
Answered (Just told my employer name)
2. Who is the Client ?
Answered.
Then the VO said that my Visa is approved. The entire interview took less than a minute :)
Gave a form for passport delivery to my Office address and I was out by 8:45 AM
On 11th, the passport was delivered to my office with the Visa Stamp :)

VO asked only my passport and 3 questions. I was wearing my client ID card with my employer name displayed in the bottom.
ME: Hi, how are you?
VO: I am good, how are you?
ME: Good, thanks.
VO: Who is your petitioner?
ME: replied in one word
VO: Who is the client and which location in US?
ME: just replied the name of the client and city name (no other words)
VO: What you do at the client place?
ME: we develop xxxxxx with one of the IBM's xxxxx tool.
VO: Thanks, your visa is approved and you will get a message in 2-3 days.
ME: Thank you...
Then he gave me Right To information booklet. Entire interview lasted less than a minute.
I checked the DS160 status on the next day, status was showing Issued.

Hi,
I have a quick question, for which i need your help.
I was denied B1 Visa two times last year, mainly on the pretext that the VO though i was going to work there and the category of my visa does not justifies my intention.
Now, my company is applying for an H1 Visa this year.
Can the rejection of B1 last year( last in Dec 2012), can affect my H1 application and catch the eyes of VO.
From my company mostly H1 goes through, so just conecerned.
Thanks
Roshan
