Case under AP since 5 months
Hi,

Appeared for visa interview on May 22 (Delhi) and questions asked were :

1. What was the reason your H1B extension got rejected ?
Ans: I did'nt knew the reason as companies normally doesnt pass that info.
2. Asked for Client Letter
3. Client Details
4. Role and job description

Post interview issued blue slip and gave back the passport to me. Additional documents to be provided were:
1. Extension Denial reason
2. Client Letter (used while filing)
3. Complete petition for H1 and H4 all

I think I got 221G issued for not knowing my denial reason. We sent requested documents on May 31, and ever waiting since then. After 2 month or so, got email asking Updated Client Letter (latest), which we provided in August. And again the wait continues.

On October 16th first time the Case Last updated date changed, and then again on Oct 22. Apart from this no updates, and the wait continues.
One observation from the various forums I have is, mainly these prolonged cases are for the interviews held at Delhi. Don't know if I would have appeared for the Mumbai, things would have been better.

Regards
Rajeev

H1B Renewal stamping at New Delhi stuck in Admin processing
I am a FTE working for a decently sized American company. Submitted my docs on Sept 30th at New Delhi VFS center for stamping. My previous H1B stamping was with same employer. Below is my timeline

Sept 30 submitted docs for dropbox
Oct 4th got passport back with white slip asking to appear for fingerprint and interview

Oct 9th appeared for interview at New Delhi embassy. VO asked basic questions like role, if you did masters from US, which University and when did you graduate. VO said your visa is approved. She did not give any slip, did not ask for any documents and did not say that my case needs admin processing. Just told that when my visa is ready, I will get a SMS.

Oct 16: "Case last updated" date changed but still in AP

Oct 22: "Case last updated" date changed but still in AP

Still waiting..Anyone else in the same boat?

Fresh H1B - Approved
Today(10/24) i had attended interview in Chennai consulate along with family. Everything was smooth. Since i went with kid completed everything in 20 minutes.

Previously i worked on L1B Visa but this is my first H1B. VO asked some basic questions.

1.Looking at my daughter, VO asked is she US citizen? ( As i have given only 2 passports to her)
2.Is this your fresh H1B?
3.Previous you had L1B right is it with same company?
4.Can you give details about your responsibilities ?
5.Who is your client?
6.Did you work with same client on L1B?
7.Work location?
8. What's your salary ?

To my spouse,

1. Earlier you have been on L2 right ?
2. Whats your marriage data?

After providing appropriate answers. She was typing something in the system for a minute and said the GOLDEN WORDS.. Your visa approved and you can collect same from OFC office once its ready. We said Thank you and left from there with full of happiness :).

Thanks to Immihelp portal and also the people who are posting their experience here. Wishing you good luck for everyone..

221g White Slip Issued Oct 23rd H1B Renewal
Hello Guys,

I went for my H1B Renewal Stamping on Oct 23rd in Hyderabad India and i work as a FTE for a good size American Org. VO asked simple questions like

Who is my Employer, How long i am working for them, Salary, Number of Clients, Number of employees and said they will have to do further Admin Processing and returned my Passport with a White 221g slip and asked me to submit below documents in an email and wait for their Admin Processing

Full Petition
W2 Copies
Contract with Proj Description

Did anyone go through this phase ? When USCIS has already approved my H1B quite recently for 3 years, they are again asking for my Petition and stuff. Not sure how its co-related.

Appreciate your inputs guys.

H1B Transfer without I-94
Hi All,

I'm new this site, sorry if i'm posting this in wrong place.I found this thread very active so posting here.
I'm currently on F1-CPT(second masters), my H1B petition is approved under consular processing (no I94) with my employer, now i need to go to my home country to activate my H1B status. But now my client offered me a full time job and ready to transfer my H1B (they do not know about my current status).
So Can i transfer to that company with my current approved petition without I94?

Please help if you have info on this.

Thanks
