I obtained a 6-month Canadian visitor visa from Los Angeles in 2019, which has expired now. However, my biometrics are valid until 2029. I've recently received approval for a Canada visa (H-1B visa for work in Canada) and got a letter requesting my passport for stamping at the VAC. If I submit my passport to the same VAC in Los Angeles, will I still be required to send a money order for the package transmission fee? When I check the VAC website there was an exemption for this fees. See below
Package Transmission Fee of $21.70 USD if applicable (if you are sending your passport and documents to a VAC other than where you have provided your biometrics). Payment can be made by Money Order/Cashier’s Check only. Payments must meet the below requirements:
If you provided your biometrics in Los Angeles CVAC and you are submitting your passport in the same location, you are exempt of paying the Package Transmission fee. Include to your documents a photocopy of the Biometrics sticker that was affixed to your passport by the Biometrics agent at CVAC.
