H1B, H4 Visa

First of all thanks to this forum.....
I have searched this forum for last couple of months and not found any recent H1 experience at Kolkata consulate. My appeal to kolkata guys, please don't be only silent watcher. Please post also your experience about Kolkata consulate.

My appoinment was scheduled at 8:00 am. I reached consulate 7:55 am. Then after standing in a queue for about 5 min, I entered in consulate. I surprised to see that people are waiting in a place where there is only roof. I expected that there should be waiting hall.

Well, after waiting for another 15 mins, consulate staffs called in a counter(nearby waiting area) and checked the docs(DS156, DS157, Petition, certificates, company ID card for BEP company only. I had been asked to give my finger prints there)

Again after waiting another 20 mins, I has been asked to go inside the visa office where VOs were taking interview.

Conversation between VO(Mr.) & myself:

VO: Good Morning
Me: Hi....Good Morning...How r u?
VO: Good...Please give me your passport.
Me: Sure
VO: Do you have any other passport
Me: No
VO: (Worked sometime in PC and talked with another VO)What r u doing in your company?
Me: Explained for 3-4 mins
VO: Are you married?
Me: No
VO: Your visa is approved and passport will me sent by mail to you.
Me: Thanks. Good Day..........

Initially, I was tensed & watched other guys and found that 90% of them were tensed. Total experience was very cool except counter lady who was checking my documents. Her behaviour was very bad. But VOs were very good.

So my suggestion...be confident..don't be tensed...speak clearly and got visa....:)
