Does a petition by an LPR survive death?

Daughter of LPR is here on an V2 visa but turns 21 in April. Father (petitioner) tragically died in fire recently. Will she revert to 2B status? Any help appreciated

It is my understanding that the petition does not survive. She should talk to an immigration lawyer ASAP.
