Visitor visiting within a span of 2 months

Hi,
My mother-in-law arrived in USA on July 2nd and her I-94 is stamped for 6 months (until Jan 2nd 2013). She is planning to return to India by end of Sep 2012 and wants to come back in beginning of Dec and stay for another 3 months or so.
Since is coming back within 2 months in the same year, would it be a problem at the POE? Her visitor visa is valid for 10 years. Any inputs will be appreciated.

She may have to face questions from IO at POE why she has come back so soon. If she gives convincing answers, then she will be granted a stay of 6 months. It all depends up on the IO at POE
