OPT -to- H1B Help

Hi,
I am Master's student on OPT since Dec 2004. I want to know, can a Master's student apply for OPT "anytime" (even after October 2005) in the 20,000 Quota starting October 1st, 2005. Or he has to apply before Sept. 30? I will appreciate your feedback.

Can you rephrase your question as i assume you are asking if you are on OPT and you wanna apply for H1-B using the 20k quota for h1-b If that's the question yes you can it's only for those who have finished their master's degree. Regarding when you can apply and etc contact the immigration attorney or else whoever the employer is sponsoring you they will be able to assist you in that.

Thanks for the reply. to be clear, my concern is if a master's student can apply for H1 anytime before OPT expires, or before the Sept 30th like other H1B applicants.
