Visitor visa extension

I wanted to extend my mother's stay here in US by another 4 to 6 weeks. She has a 5 yr multiple entry visa and her I-94 is valid upto Dec 6th, 2005.

I was reading the Immihelp webpage on Visitor visa extension where it mentions that " If your extension is denied and if you have any 10 year multiple entry visa, that visa is considered automatically cancelled under section 222(g) of INA"

Is this valid for only 10 year multiple entry visa's or even for 5 year?

Logically it will be for any visa, but since it specifically mentiones "10 year",
I am asking this question.
