student visa informtaion

hi,
this is avanthi staying in us. on h4 type visa.
my brother is trying to get here on f1 visa type..
my husband is trying to support him by sending sponcer letter to him.
but we dont know weather this is helpful to him or not to get a visa.
if so.. please let me know how much amount we need to show to the consulate..and how can we help him to get a visa.

Best suggestion is to use parents funds to convince the Consulate to get the Visa and then after coming down here he can take money from your husband to sponsor him.
