Got two A# from I485 and CP...

In june 2000 my lawyer had applied for I485 and CP.

Got interview in October 2000 and after completing interview in INDIA entered POE SFO (San Francisco) on 22nd November and got A# for myself and my wife.

After few months in January 2001 I got EAD with different A# for myself and my wife , but according to my lawyer they had already revoked 485 application.

Now the thing is INS has 485 records and NOT the CP A#.

Any Idea what should I do ? Please help.

I am in the same boat.I entered though SFO in March this year. I canceled my I485 after I came back with IV but the automated system says it is still pending.

Did you contact local INS about your plastic card??

Yep I did that and they told me we don't have your A# (stamped on passport) in the system.

When I went to SSA for changing mine and my wife's SSN
they have A# related to I485 so I got letter from INS for finger printing which I don't need as I have already got I551 stamp on passport.

You got a fingerprinting notice from INS because INS has not cancelled your I485 application.
