H1 Stamping in india (in different territory) ?

Hi,

My status: I came USA on F1. I got my H1. Currently I am in PA. Now I am going india first time after getting my H1. I want to get my H1 stamped.

My Question:
I am from MP (Madhaya Pradesh) and It comes under mumbai consulate territory. But I am not able to get date in Dec. (I am going in Dec.) in Mumbai Consulate. So I want to take appointment in Delhi. Can I?

I went thru this website and they confused me.

Can anyone give me idea about it?

Hi,

IF you going to india from the US, it does not matter which consulate (madras, delhi..etc) you go t for your H-1B stamping.

At the bottom of the url it clearly states

Unquote.

I guess u can basically request where ever u can.
