Plastic cards - POE San Francisco

I have not seen many postings on receiving plastic cards from CSC.

My CP was done on Jan 8, 2001 and POE was SFO, Jan 22, 2001. Any idea how much time it is taking to get plastic cards from CSC ?

Also, I was told by a friend that Plastic cards from CP take lesser time then AOS , is it TRUE ?

It depends on your POE(CP) and your local INS office(AOS). SFO takes long time. Just be patient. We are all in the west coast waiting line.

I know it takes long time and I am very patient, my question is still the same, does anyone know how long it takes to get plastic card from the date of POE for CSC?

Plastic cards from POEs other than CA tend to be faster than AOS.
The reason is that for CP, the file is sent directly to TSC for processing. The exception is POEs in CA, where the file is sent to CSC, and CSC is not known for speed.
For AOS, I think the service center forwards the file to TSC, wich takes longer. Again, I think CSC has its own way of dealing with it. But I'm not familiar with the AOS way.

As far as the time frame is concerned, expect it to take at least 6 months for CA POEs. East Coast POEs tend to get their cards in 2-3 months.
