passport renewal - marriage problem

Hi,

I have been married early this year. We separated before even I attempted for a marriage registration. I have now applied for legal separation and the case is ongoing. Meanwhile, I moved to US on a work visa. My five-year tatkaal passport is getting expired soon and I need to apply for renewal.There are columns like "Martial Status" "Wife Name", if I fill the details, I dont have a marriage certificate to attach. What should I do?

Do you want to take your wife to US or not? I assume not.

In that case, you don't have to worry about marriage certificate.
