what if visitor visa extension denied??

HI everybody,

I would like to extend the stay of my mother-in-law, in the worst case scenaria what if the extension denied, will the visa expire even if the person has 10 years visa.and what if the deniel letter comes after the date on I-94.

If the visitor visa extension is denied, and if the person is still here past original I-94 date, 10 year visa is void.
