Can immihelp or someone answer this?

After getting the I-551 stamp on the passport, what
procedure needs to be followed to do consulting
with companies, to do software projects on the
side, in addition to the primary job? Does one
need to open a company for this purpose? What needs
to be done as far as IRS and U.S. laws are concerned?
How are taxes to be filed differently in this case?
Pls. let me know.

Thanks.

You can work on a 1099 etc. If the billing is for short time projects, like one time jobs etc., you only need to give to the Client (the one who pays your bills) your Social Security Number so that he may make a deduction in his expenses against your bills.

But I guess there are other newsgroups for this.

Good Bye! As we expect to see less of you around since you might get busy now!!
