i sent my documents for visa extension and got the recept. they have not responded yet.can you saty until they respond even if its after the date that you applied for??

Yes.what are the repurcusions of staying. dont they enter the information in their computer about the dates you were extending for?

As long as your application for extension is pending, you are legally allowed to stay in the country.

i applied for an extension till december 19th but my application is still pending.my question is if i will be illeagal if i stay past the 19th of december.

No. In that case, you should stay only till Dec 19.
