can US citizens staying abroad over 6 months

i want to know if i could stay with my baby in India for over 6 months, she is a US citizen and we are GC holders. Anyone having experience pls reply

Sure you can. Before going to India get a VISA for her.

There is no requirement at all for US citizens to live in the US. Your baby may need a visa for India, that's all.
For yourself, you of course should make sure that you have evidence that you keep your residence in the US to avoid losing the GC.
