My fiance had his interview 2 weeks ago and the consulars office told him they would get back to him. Last week his I-129 petition expired and I called/emailed the consular's office to see about an extention. After speaking with someone there who said there isn't anything I could do and there is no need to call/email as everything is in their hands and they will take care of the necessary paperwork to get an extention... we still have not heard anything. Is this a usual occurance and when should we expect to hear anything back from the consulars office? It's really frustrating trying to get any information out of the consulars office.

Thanks!

Keep contacting consulate office as only they can answer what is going on.

I'm a little hesitant to contact the consulate since the last time I spoke to the person apparently handling the case... who said it wasn't necessary for me to call or email them. Should I wait a few more days/weeks before contacting again?

In that case, please wait for some time.

My fiance heard back from the embassy 3 weeks ago and went in for his fingerprints. Still no news from the embassy. Does anyone know what the process from this point is or if I should call the embassy... or just keep waiting.
