My Mexican friend is awaiting green card. She is pregnant and married to an American for the past 5 months. The marriage is not working due to abuse. Is there any possible way for her to legally remain in the US if she divorces? She has only lived in the U.S. for 5 months.
Is the green card based on the marriage? Have they both been interviewed
for her green card? If yes, she should endure it till she gets her green card.
She can divorce after that and file to remove conditions on her green card.
