1. I am planning to take traveller's checks with me for my CP interview in Mumbai. Do I have to take these in Rs. or dollars?

2. Are the banks that offer these services (of converting tr. checks to Rs.) open on Saturdays?

3. Should I just scrap this idea and take cash. Will hotels like Shalimar convert that for me if the banks are closed on Saturday?

From an eariler posting, i know that hotels are able to convert traveller's checks for you. i am taking in dollors.

There is an ANZ grindlays bank near the us consulate which is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They have a limit of $1000.00 per day.
