Last Name change

Hi,
I have a question.

My husband and I hold a GC.
I have my last name as my father's first name in passport ,ssn ,drivers license etc.,

We will be applying for citizenship soon.I want to know whether I can continue keeping my last name as is or do I have to change my last name to my husband's firstname as we both don't have family name.

What is the drawback if I just continue to keep my name as is?

Any advice /suggestions would be greatly helpful.

You can keep your name as it is. You don't have to change after marriage. You don't have to change while applying for citizenship. In fact, if you want to change your name during citizenship, you will have to go through much longer process and it will delay your citizenship.
