MIL VISA reject in Chennai

MIL had been to Chennai for Tourist VISA. I work for a reputed Software company and I have sent all the relevant paperwork according to this site.

Questions -

CO - Is your husband working ?
MIL- Yes

CO - Show documents for proof
MIL - payslip + work letter

CO - How many kids ?
MIL - two

CO - Where do they live ?
MIL - Both in US

CO - Sorry, You have to re-apply Maam

CO did not ask sponser documents and was not happy that both kids are in US. MIL was rejected based on 214(b). Its very unfortunate. Planning to take next appointment. Still lamenting what would be a good answer to prove strong ties with home country? Suggestion/sympaty/workarounds WELCOME...

I am so sorry to hear this :( I know how painful this can be....When did she have her interview? Recently there were a lot of approvals, I started to think that the trend is changing !!!!

She had her appointment on 25th. Its unfortunate that I have to wait for a long period as appointments dates are available only in October :((
