Are males in USA circumcised after birth by default?

Hi. Is it true that in USA, over 80% of males are circumcised after their birth? I heard that this procedure is actually carried out for additional revenue for the hospitals but they rationalize it as a procedure carried out for health reasons. I also heard that while the women is admitted for delivery, they make her sign many forms and one of them is for the circumcision of her newly born male child.

I do not want my son to be circumcised. How do I ensure this? It would be very helpful if others who gave birth to a male child in USA share their experiences.

They specifically ask for it whether the son needs to be circumcised. And if you say yes, they will ask you to make fill a form.

They don't do it without telling you.
