Hello,

Myself and My husband both are working as s/w consultants in India right now.
Myself and My child and My Husband, all three of us are going for a L1 Blanket, L2 visa interview this 1st of June 2006 to Delhi. I am going for L1 B and Husband and Child are for L2 visa.

The problem is him working here and wanting a L2 visa. How do we convincingly represnet ourselves so that he gets his L2 visa. He very much fits into the category of potential immigrant with a BE degree with 9 years of software industry experience.

In case of applying L2 for a working spouse, Delhi Embassy website says that he has to provide a letter from his company for continued employment. What exactly does he need to mention in the letter. Is there a format which everybody is using?

Earliest response from anybody would be greatly appreciated as we have very less time to prepare any kind of document. I sincerely thank you guys in advance.

Uma.

Hi,
Adopt following procedure
You apply for L1B -- Your spouse & child will apply for L2 dependent visa .
( no need of any letter in ambesy as he will be dependent on you & they will not ask any question to him )
after arriving in US Your spouse will apply for EAD on L2 Visa .He will get after90 days . Then he can work .
From the present employment he has to take leave or break .

Or he has to apply L1 from his employment if he could not take break.

L2 visa is given only for dependent spouse

Can anyone share L2 VISA experience for working Spouse? What kind of questions are asked if Husband is applying for L2 VISA?

I thought H and L Visa applicants are allowed to have immigrant intent. These are dual intent Visas.
