Some questions aboout N400

Dear Friends,

I have a few questions about filling up N400..answers will be greatly appreciated.


1. Is it necessary to have a layoff letter from company? I was laid off after 5 mnths of getting a greencard but I do not have a letter from company in that effect. What are my choices?

2. Is it a problem if title of job is not exact e.g software consultant in place of software engineer/analyst.

1. They just want to know your employers thats all.

2. It does not matter... they don't care.

All I was asked was "Oh you work for Xxxxx" as my firm is a famous wall street firm.

I wouldn't say that they absolutely do not care. They may want to make sure that your green card process was not a matter of convenience for you (or your employer). It should not matter if you are convincing enough.
