immigrant visa options

I have been in the US on H1-B for over 5.5 years now. My visa expires in Nov 2006. My employer started green card processing for me in july 2004.
My husband has a green card. In the case of me losing my job before my green card comes through, what are the options (besides my husband becoming US citizen) I have, to continuing living in the US?

Your employer needs to have your AOS done long before your H1B would expire so you still have time the copy of the approval letter from USCIS. Don't put yourself in a situation where you will be out of status because the immigration is now very strict about this.
