Hurrey, finally I got the citizenship after being rejected once. Anyways, am just wondering what should I be doing once I have the citizenship i.e. Do I need to update any record or information somewhere?

Somebody was telling me that I should go to social security office to update my record there and that made me think, if there is any othere office/department that I should be informing/updating about my status?

Please help...

Thanks,
Ajay

Congrats!

How long does it take to get the receipt number from the date USCIS receive the application?

They received my N-400 application on 05/30/06.

Please advise. Thanks.

It took me about 4 months to get the formal receipt after they received the application

Getting US Passport is the next big thing.

Then perhaps any applicable visas.

Voter registration is another one.

Apart from updating your current status with Social Security I do not believe one is required to inform any other departments/Agencies.
