PassPort in a hurry

I read about PassPort in a hurry with an additional fee. How fast do we get it?? Is there a separate specific office to go to get that or could we go to our local township office and apply for a quick passport

Also do we need to show the reason for hurrying , like an air ticket or some other evidence??

One can get a passport the same day, provided one can demonstrate the need for it such as emergency travel requirement due to sickness in family and so on. Documentary eveidence is required such as a fax.

These passports are not available locally for most cities. One has to travel to a Regional Passport Office such as those in New York, San Fransisco, etc., appear personally with all the eveidence, etc.

Regular passports are taking about a month now and I believe the expedited process takes about half the time or less.

I assume you are talking about US passport.

You can just go to regular place where passports are applied, pay additional fee and you will get it within 10 days.
