N-400 Part 1-C : need your help

Hi,

I am preparing N-400 for my wife. The Part1-C says "If you have ever used other names, provide them below." Now her middle name has changed after our marriage. Do I need to mention it as 'other names used'? Please assist.

Yes............so you would put

1. her first , old middle and maiden name
2. first, old middle and married name (if she retained the old middle name anytime after the marraige)
3. first, new middle and married name

I forgot to mention that she has used only one name (i.e. new name) after the marriage, that said we used the same for H4, GC etc. Do I still need to mention old names used on the school cert and before marriage docs?

Yes, you have to mention her maiden name

I am in the same situation. It should not be a problem as long as you have some proof like marriage certificate or her passport taken with maiden name BEFORE the marriage as proof. REMEMBER to take those during the interview.
