change of status from H4 to L1

Hi

I am currently in Us on H4 visa. I am on sabbatical leave from my india employer. Now my employer is ready to file L1 for me as thay have an assignment in US.

i want to know whether it is possible change the visa status from H4 to L1 without travelling again.

As far as i know, To get a L1 visa you sould be with the employer for more than 1 year.

How long you are here in H4 visa? You have mentioned that you have taken leave from your employer. You are justifying like that while filing for L1 Visa that is okay.

But if you are in H4 Visa for more than a year then it will be diffcult to get L1 Visa. If it is couple of months then it doesn't matter you will get it.
