which types of J-1 visas require 2 year residence which do not?can not find it anywhere.
( i am planning to apply for J-1 under "Career training USAprogramme")

Its not a question so much of what kind of program but rather who funds it. If its funded in part or wholly by your government ( sometimes by an ORG which your gov contributes to) then more than likely it will have the residency requirement....and if its in a field in which skilled professionals are in short supply in your country then mor ethan likley it will hav ethe reidency requirment. Its not the US Embassy which makes that determination....its the program...........onc eyour get the program certificate , it will mak ethe dtermination as to whether the residency will be required.
