H4 being processed. B1 too possible?

Hi

My (and my daughter's) H4 is being processed along with my husband's H1B processing. But I work for another company where I have been requested to process my B1.
Is it possible for me to apply for a B1 after I have been granted a H4?
In case my H4 gets rejected, will it affect my B1 processing?
Will I be questioned about my H4 when I go to the Consulate for my B1 stamping?
