Hi,

A friend of mine came to US with B2 on medical reasons,
with a multiple entry 10 year visa.
Before his 6 month I-94 expired, he extended it and got another
6 months. Can he apply again for extension?

I read in this site that after 1 year it is not possible, but I would just like
to make sure. I couldn't see any info on USCIS Visa Services
web site restricting a 2nd extension. Do you know where in the
law it mentions the restriction?

If he can't, does he need to go abroad and try to come back?
Is Canada sufficient?

Thanks,
nsical.

On visitor visa one can stay max of 1 yr
Better to go to native country rather than neighboring countries
