Travel during EAD Renewal

Hi,

I am on L2 visa...my EAD is expiring on Feb2007,now i am applying for renewal.
I would like to know,can i travel to INDIA during my EAD renewal??

I also like to know,can i file for the Greencard, if my employer is willing to file G.C for me.
