Is Transit visa required??

Hi,
I(GC holder) will be travelling to Mumbai via London and as per my knowledge we do not
require transit visa( to that matter, any visa ) to pass through London and even
visit London ( entering England).

My travel agent has sent a cautionary e-mail asking us to check transit visa requirements.
Do you know of any country in europe ( or any other condition) that may require
the transit visa.

1. You don't require transit visa to transit through London, UK.

2. You REQUIRE tourist visa if you want to get out for sightseeing. Visa is not required only for US citizens.
