Business visa entry date clarification

Hello!

My friend got Business visa from chennai. She has ten year multiple entry visa with no annotations on visa.

We need some details :

(1) what is maximum time to go after getting visa, i mean first entry. Is there time frame to make first entry ?

(2) She has business discussions at New York and her sponsor company is in New York, but she first want to visit her friend at New Orleans and than she want to go New York. Is that possible to chance port of entry or she has to visit New York.

1. No. But her entry time should match the purpose she will declare at entry.
Let us say her discussion is on feb 28 and if she enters jan 15, she will be asked why she came so early?
2. She will be asked the purpose of visit at entry and she may have to show
letters of business meetings and they may or may not ask why she came to new orleans first. Why take a chance at her very first visit to US. To avoid any suspicions , it is better to enter at NYC.
