Employment in Academia post US natzn & OIC

Hello,
I have a question prior to applying for US naturalization.

Subsequent to US naturalization & OIC can one work in academia and research in India, i.e. IIT, IIsc, colleges, universities, TIFR,.. if one wishes to return to India on a permanent basis after US naturalization?
