Transit Visa for London

Hi,

My wife holds a valid H4 US visa and travelling from Chicago to Mumbai via London (Heathrow Airport).

She is changing the flights at London airport and not going outside the airport. Also She has round trip tickets to come back to USA.

Does she need to have Transit visa in order to board into Mumbai flights?

Hey,
How was your wife's experience in London. Did she had to go through long queue in the london airport? how long was her hault there?

I would be travelling with an infant and have only 1 hr 20 mins hault so kinda worried.

I am sorry to post this late. She did not need Transit VISA. Anyway go to the UK consulate website and get the printout for transit visa exemption.

Do you know whether the same will apply on a Visitor visa
My mom is travelling mumbai-london-Newyork on valid visitors visa. do we need transit visa for her.
