I am thinking of doing AOS as couple of cases I came to know AOS took 3-4 months only. It has been almost two months since my 140 was approved and I am still waiting for Packet 3 from NVC.

NVC has not sent Packet 3 to the consulate in India. Also I need to collect Police certs from Europe where lived for 2+ years which I think is going to delay my case further.

So I am thinking of initiating AOS.

Can someone help me. How long I can keep both process (CP and AOS) going before I need to cancel one process?

Do you think I might be better starting AOS soon because of the extra documentation required in my case for CP?

Vivek,

Could you please tell more about the cases who got their AOS done
in 3 - 4 months? Which service center was this?

Thanks.

It is for California Service Center.
485 started in March?June(I don't remember exactly). GC approved in early August.

Same case I heard about another person. Few months.

I think this year some cases have gone fast. It might be random. I am not sure it happened for everybody. But generally CSC has process labour , I140, GCs fast from june onwards until recently when they slowed down on 140 EB2 again.

My I140 was approved in August and CP was the choice for I485. My lawyer recommed AOS processing at CSC. To process should I ask NVC to send my file back to CSC. NVC are saying that they have send my file to consulate and have mailed packet 3 to me.

????. Does CSC needs my file back? which may delay my case. CSC is clearing all back logs and is processing all current I485 in 3-4 months.
