This may be an obvious type question, but I want to make sure of the answer.

Can an OCI work in india in the private sector. Is this true for the PIO holder as well.

And.. can someone let us know what is the actual processing time for a CIO application at houston. :confused:

yes you can work in India.

As far as I know there are only two differences between OCI and PIO

* OCI is good for your lifetime whereas PIO is valid only for 15 years
* No registration requirement for OCI

I don't know about houston but it takes about 4 weeks in SFO to get a PIO card.

Yes you can...They both are the same except in the above mentioned cases.
