When does FP notice arrive??

I filed N-400 at end Jan from NJ (to VSC). Receipt notice notice date was Feb 5. But I have not received fingerprinting notification yet. Not sure why? The tracker seems to indicate most people get their finger printing notices 3-4 weeks after filing. My receipt notice was "received with exception", as I forgot to attch GC copy. But, all said, if anyone has idea/info about what could be going on, I would very much appreciate it.

Call the 1-800 number on your receipt notice and speak to a rep. You should have got your FP by now unless they are waiting for you to send the photocopy of your GC... Better get it clarified.

Thanks. I did call them, and asked how come 6 weeks have gone by and no FP notice? I was transferred by the rep who answered my call to another USCIS person who checked my credentials and informed me that he had rec'd a request to issue FP notice yesterday (March 13) and that the notice would be coming to me in the next week or so. Am keeping my fingers crossed that it will indeed come thru. Thanks again,

OK so I called USCIS no. again, and ask them 2 months have gone by why no FP notice. Phone svc rep puts me to someone in VSC and these guys tell me some one appears to have looked at your file int he last few days and it is in process, so just wait a bit longer and FP notice should come thru.

I wait 2 weeks, and... nothing.

So I called back, phone service rep puts me thru VSC again. This VSC person was plain rude and unhelpful, she says case well within processing time, and asked me not to call back until 6 months have elapsed!

I am starting to lose hope here.

I applied at end of Jan '07, receipt notce was dated Feb 4. And since then nothing.

ok so i finally went to newark, nj and got this done on May 10. Now waiting for interview letter.
